House Tour

[acidfree:128 size=200]Through the years, this house has survived the great fires of 1904 and 1908 and although having to endure many years of neglect, it is being lovingly restored by its current owners, Alison Thom and Peter Myers. To find out more about the history of the house, click on History in the navigation bar. [acidfree:166 align=right size=250]Much of the original character has been brought back to life as the restoration takes place, however, some rooms still have a distinctive 70’s feel to them. They are still comfortable and we hope that our visitors can overlook some of these reminders of an era less enlightened! Yard's and Decks

When visiting in the warmer months, you will love the ambience of the yards and decks. Backyard BBQ’s were meant to feel like this. Deck use is encouraged in the winter but we recommend dressing for the occasion.
Yard's and Decks
Winter temps are typically just below freezing but have been known to hit -20C some days…but it never stays that cold for long!

Spring skiers will love the warmth of the apres ski sun, as it warms your face while you relax on the front porch.

Summer temperatures typically range from low 20’s C (70F) to mid 30’s C (100F) with cool nights, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The large front yard is big enough for soccer, rugby, volleyball or a toss of the Frisbee.

Relaxing on the front parch, watching the sun slip up Cedar Valley will likely be one of the most therapeutic experiences you will ever have…night after night any time of year!
